You can worship God 7 days a week 365 days a year but you can only obey the fourth commandment on the 7th day of every week.

Rhode Island  ~ Massachusetts
"God does not want us to worship Him using the beliefs and customs of other nations."

Deuteronomy 12:29-32 “When the Lord your God goes ahead of you and destroys the nations and you drive them out and live in their land, do not fall into the trap of following their customs and worshiping their gods. Do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations worship their godsI want to follow their example.’ You must not worship the Lord your God the way the other nations worship their gods, for they perform for their gods every detestable act that the Lord hates."

I want to take this time to talk about true worship. Revelation 14:6-10 tells us that In these last days, even at the very hour of God's judgement, worship will be at the very heart of the issue.

Revelation 14:6-10 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

God is calling HIS PEOPLE to come out of Babylon and I pray that this website will help them do that.

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of Babylon,
My people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues."

When God speaks of Babylon, He is referring to specific beliefs and customs
that came from Babylon and were later adopted by the church and Christianize.

"Why is true worship so important to God?"

Because true worship determines who you love, honor and obey and Satan know this. If we obey man made commandments and customs, over the commandments of God, our worship will be in vain.

Matthew 5:9 "In vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.”

Mark 7:7 "And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."

Vain: futile, useless, pointless, worthless, to no purpose.

"False worship, as opposed to true worship, is like telling your spouse you
love them all while you are cheating on them behind their back."

"A false system of worship"

Today's mainline church has a system of worship that has it's root in Babylon. One of the many evidences of this, false system of worship, is seen in Sunday worship. They say Sunday is the Lord's day without one verse in the Bible to support it. From Genesis to Revelation the Lord's day has always been (Saturday) the seventh day, not (Sunday) the first day.

Genesis 2:1-3 So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.

Exodus 20:9-11 You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you. For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.

Deuteronomy 5:13-14 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.

Watch how the early church, both Jew and Gentile, continued to honor the seventh day Sabbath.

Acts 13:42-44 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.

Did you notice how the Gentiles begged Paul to teach them again on the next Sabbath? Then on the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God? If the Sabbath was changed from the seventh day to the first day this would have been the perfect time for Paul to make that change, but he didn't.

Paul taught both Jews and Gentiles every Sabbath at the church in Corinth.

Acts 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Gentiles.

Paul did this for a year and a half before leaving for his next journey. That's a lot of Sabbaths.

Acts 18:11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

The Sabbath will even be honored in the millennium.

Isaiah 66:22-23 “For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before Me,” says the Lord, “So shall your descendants and your name remain. And it shall come to pass that from one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord.

Jesus Himself said He is Lord of the Sabbath, which verifies that the Sabbath is the Lord's day.

Matthew 12:8 Jesus said, "For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”

The seventh day of every week is to be a special time set apart for God and His people. The seventh day Sabbath is to be holy to God, the other six days are for working your normal jobs.

Exodus 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God."

God created it to be a special time for His people to put down their tools of trade and come from far and near to gather as a family to worship and praise their heavenly Father.

Leviticus 23:3 You have six days when you can do your normal work, but the seventh day of each week is holy because it belongs to the LORD. No matter where you live, you must rest on the Sabbath and come together for worship.

The whole world has a seven day week because that's the way God created it. The seven day week, with the seventh day being special, testifies of creation and it's Creator. If everyone honored the seventh day we would be hard pressed to teach and believe the theory of evolution.

Some people have been led to believe that Sunday is the seventh day, but this is not true. Even our dictionaries tell us which day the seventh day is.
"Webster's Dictionary"
noun \sa-tr-da-,de-\
The seventh day of the week: the day of the week between Friday and Sunday.

So why the big push for Sunday worship? Because sun worship is at the heart of this Babylonian system of worship and Sunday is the day sun worshipers call holy.

"Today's Christianity is not God's religion"

Today's Christianity is a product of Emperor Constantine, which started in the 300's AD. Emperor Constantine took the beliefs and practices of Babylon and formed a State religion. The Roman Catholic church then took these beliefs and practices and Christianize them and forced them on the people using fear and punishment. They took anything that even looked Jewish and replaced it with the ways of Babylon. Today's unsuspecting people have no idea that Jesus Himself was a Jew and what He taught and established as God's religion came straight from Torah. The authority and motivation for the persecution and destruction of God's Torah keeping people came through the creed of Emperor Constantine.
"The Constantine Creed"

“I renounce all customs, rites, legalisms, unleavened breads and sacrifices of lambs of the Hebrews, and all the other feasts of the Hebrews, sacrifices, prayers, aspirations, purifications, sanctifications, and propitiations, and fasts and new moons, and Sabbaths, and superstitions, and hymns and chants, and observances and synagogues. absolutely everything Jewish, every Law, rite and custom and if afterwards I shall wish to deny and return to Jewish superstition, or shall be found eating with Jews, or feasting with them, or secretly conversing and condemning the Christian religion instead of openly confuting them and condemning their vain faith, then let the trembling of Cain and the leprosy of Gehazi cleave to me, as well as the legal punishments to which I acknowledge myself liable. And may I be an anathema in the world to come, and may my soul be set down with Satan and the devils.” (Stefano Assemani, Acta Sanctorium Martyrum Orientalium at Occidentalium, Vol. 1, Rome 1748, page 105)
"The state ordained day of worship"

Emperor Constantine (circa 321 AD). "On the venerable Day of the sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country, however, persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits: because it often happens that another Day is not so suitable for grain sowing or for vine planting: lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost."
This was later Christianize and enforced through the Roman Catholic church.

Catholic Church (Council of Laodicea circa 364 AD). "Christians shall not Judaize and be idle on Saturday (Sabbath), but shall work on that Day: but the Lord’s Day, they shall especially honour; and as being Christians, shall, if possible, do no work on that day. If however, they are found Judaizing, they shall be shut out from Christ."
Encyclopedia Britannica, 1899 Edition, Vol. XXIII, page 654. "The Council of Laodicea ... forbids Christians from judaizing and resting on the Sabbath day, preferring the Lord's day, and so far as possible resting as Christians."

"The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine"

"Question - Which is the Sabbath day?
“Answer - Saturday is the Sabbath day.
“Question - Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
“Answer - We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea (A.D.
364), transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.” The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, p. 50, 3rd edition, 1957.

None of these thing came from Jesus or His teachings. Jesus did not come to do away with Torah, He came to give it it's full meaning and purpose.

Matthew 5:18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the Torah until all things come to pass.

Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.

Luke 16:17 But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter in the Torah to become void.

Some will say that we now live by faith as though living by faith is a New Testament principle.

Habakkuk 2:4 “Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.

Living by faith does not do away with the Torah, it leads us to obey it.

Romans 3:31 Do we then nullify the Torah through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we uphold the Torah.

Remember, when Timothy said all Scripture was inspired by God for instruction in righteous the only Scripture they had was the Old Testament.

2 Timothy 3:14-17 You, however, continue in what you have learned and what you have become convinced of. For you know from whom you have learned, and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to make you wise, leading to salvation through trusting in Messiah. All Scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for restoration, and for training in righteousness, so that the person belonging to God may be capable, fully equipped for every good deed.

If you are following today's Christianity you are following the religion of Constantine and are practicing lawlessness.

Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Matthew 13:40-42 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

1 John 3:4 Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah — indeed, sin is violation of Torah.

Come to Jesus and be baptized in His name for the forgiveness of violating Torah and let God write His Torah on your heart.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Repent means you go from not obeying Torah to obeying Torah. That's why God gives us His Spirit and a new heart to help us to obey Torah.

Ezekiel 36:24-28 For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

Hebrews 8:10 For this is the new covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My Torah in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Hebrews 10:16-17 “This is the new covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My Torah into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

Sunday worship, in the house of God, is a man made tradition which has it's root in Babylon. This man made tradition of Sunday worship has made void the commandment of God to keep the seventh day holy.

"Fourth Commandment"
Exodus 20:8-10 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God".

The fourth commandment is the longest of all the commandments and it's the only commandment that begins with the word, remember, yet it's the one that is forgotten the most.

"What Jesus had to say about man made traditions"
Matthew 15:1-6 Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying, “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” Jesus answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”— then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.

"Proof that Sunday worship is a man made tradition"
(Catholic Record, September 17, 1893) Sunday is founded, not of scripture, but on tradition, and is distinctly a Catholic institution. As there is no scripture for the transfer of the day of rest from the last to the first day of the week, Protestants ought to keep their Sabbath on Saturday and thus leave Catholics in full possession of Sunday.”

(Catholic Press, Sydney, Australia, August 1900) “Sunday is a Catholic institution and its claim to observance can be defended only on Catholic principles...From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first.”

Sunday worship is Babylon's mark of authority over your life and the seventh day Sabbath is God's mark of authority over your life.

(Catholic Record of London, Ontario Sept 1, 1923). “Sunday is our mark of authority… the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact”

Exodus 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generationsthat ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

Exodus 31:16-17 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

But God's people rebelled against the Law of God in the wilderness and profaned the Sabbath.

Ezekiel 20:13 But Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They refused my laws and would not obey them even though obeying them means life. And they profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them.

Paul uses what happened to Israel in wilderness as a warning to us.

1 Corinthians 10:5-6 Yet God was not pleased with most of them, and their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. These things happened as a warning to us, so that we would not crave evil things as they did,

"What did the early church fathers say about the Sabbath"

The Sabbath was binding in Eden, and it has been in force ever since. This fourth commandment begins with the word 'remember,' showing that the Sabbath already existed when God Wrote the law on the tables of stone at Sinai. How can men claim that this one commandment has been done away with when they will admit that the other nine are still binding?"  D. L. Moody, Founder of Moody Bible Institute ~ Weighed and Wanting pp. 47, 48.

"The sacred name of the Seventh day is Sabbath. This fact is too clear to require argument [Exodus 20:10 quoted] On this point the plain teaching of the Word has been admitted in all ages . . . Not once did the disciples apply the Sabbath law to the first day of the week,--that folly was left for a later age, nor did they pretend that the first day supplanted the seventh." Joseph Judson Taylor, Southern Baptist ~ "The Sabbatic Question," pp. 14, 15, 16-17, 41

"There was and is a command to keep holy the Sabbath day, but that Sabbath day was not Sunday. It will however be readily said, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the seventh to the first day of the week, with all its duties, privileges and sanctions. Earnestly desiring information on this subject, which I have studied for many years, I ask, where can the record of such a transaction be found? Not in the New Testament--absolutely not. There is no scriptural evidence of the change of the Sabbath institution from the seventh to the first day of the week." Dr. E.T. Hiscox, author of the "Baptist Manual."

"The Scriptures nowhere call the first day of the week the Sabbath . . . There is no Scriptural authority for so doing, nor of course, any Scriptural obligation"  "The Watchman." Baptist

"The current notion that Christ and His apostles authoritatively substituted the first day for the seventh, is absolutely without any authority in the New Testament." Dr. Lyman Abbot, American Congregationalist In the "Christian Union," June 26, 1890

"For example, nowhere in the Bible do we find that Christ or the Apostles ordered that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday. We have the commandment of God given to Moses to keep holy the Sabbath day, that is the 7th day of the week, Saturday. Today most Christians keep Sunday because it has been revealed to us by the [Roman Catholic] church outside the Bible." Catholic Virginian Oct. 3, 1947, p. 9, art. "To Tell You the Truth."

"What about Romans 14? Doesn't it teach us that the Sabbath doesn't matter anymore?"

Some people try to use Romans 14 to do away with the seventh day Sabbath.

It's important to read Romans 14 in context.

Romans 14:1-2 Accept into your group someone who is weak in faith, and do not argue about opinions. One person believes it is right to eat all kinds of food. But another, who is weak, believes it is right to eat only vegetables.

Notice the foundation of Romans chapter 14 is a discussion about a weak brother who believes certain things are wrong such as eating meat. They believe its wrong probably because they believe killing an animal is wrong but either way they believe its wrong to eat meat. Paul calls these things the opinions of men. An opinion of a man should not be viewed in the same light and authority as a commandment of God. God never commanded us to only eat vegetables.

Now let's look at verse 5 & 6 because this is where people think Paul was doing away with the Sabbath. Keep in mind the context of Romans 14 how it's about the opinions of men. Notice in verse 5 how it says "One man esteems one day above another". This is not referring to a commandment of God.

Romans 14:5-6 One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.

We can see how this can apply today because men have made laws and traditions about not eating meat on certain days. These are man-made laws and traditions and are not a commandment of God. For example:

In the United States, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has declared that "the age of fasting is from the completion of the eighteenth year to the beginning of the sixtieth." The USCCB also allows the substitution of some other form of penance for abstinence on all of the Fridays of the year, except for those Fridays in Lent. Thus, the rules for fasting and abstinence in the United States are:

Every person 14 years of age or older must abstain from meat (and items made with meat) on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all the Fridays of Lent.

Every person between the age of 18 and 59 (beginning of 60th year) must fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.

Every person 14 years of age or older must abstain from meat (and items made with meat) on all other Fridays of the year, unless he or she substitutes some other form of penance for abstinence."

These are commandments and traditions of men and should not be used to make void a commandment of God.

Matthew 15:3 He answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?

The seventh day Sabbath is not a tradition of men or an opinion of weak believers, it's a commandment of God. The whole context of Romans 14 is about allowing those who are weak in the faith time to grow.

If I have an opinion regarding a day that I want to make special I have no authority to force that on the whole world but if God makes a day holy, it's holy for the world.

Mark 2:27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for mankind, and not mankind for the Sabbath.

Romans 14 does not open the door for us to choose whatever day we want to call holy because it breeds confusion and disunity. For example:

Let's say a Sabbath keeping Pastor starts a church in your community. I believe Tuesday should be the day we call Holy, you believe Thursday is the day we should call Holy and the town librarian believes Monday should be the day we call Holy. Now comes the seventh day Sabbath and the pastor is standing in church by himself. This is not God's plan for his people.

The seventh day Sabbath, just like marriage between a man and a woman, is an institute of creation. To this very day the whole world still has a seven day week. Did you know the 7th Day Sabbath is going to be honored in the Millennium as well? So why would God do away with the Sabbath now? God is preparing a people for the millennium so we should be practicing the Commandments of God now because they will definitely be taught and obeyed in the millennium.

Isaiah 2:2-3 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

I say all this not to condemn God's people, but rather, to help them express their love for God with a pure form of worship. God is calling His people to come out of this Babylonian system of worship.

Revelation 18:2-5 And the angel cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, “Babylon the great is fallen and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.” And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

If we truly love God we will keep His commandments as an expression of that love.

1 Corinthians 7:19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters.

John 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

John 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.

Why are the commandments of God so important to Him? Because they define godly love, and Satan know this.

Romans 13:8-10 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

We should love and worship God our Heavenly Father the way He deserves to be loved and worshiped.

Matthew 22:36-39 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

At a very basic, and easy to understand level, the Ten Commandments, found in Exodus 20, define what it means to love God and love neighbor. The first four teach us how to love God and the last six teach us how to love others.

The Sabbath is a holy day so let's hear what Ezra says about a holy day.

Nehemiah 8:10 Ezra said to them, “Go, enjoy good food and sweet drinks and give some to those who have nothing. For this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be sad for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
